Book 6 in the Harry Potter series

A New York Times Bestseller

In the fifth and most recent book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the last chapter, titled "The Second War Begins," started:

'In a brief statement Friday night, Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge confirmed that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has returned to this country and is active once more. "It is with great regret that I must confirm that the wizard styling himself Lord -- well, you know who I mean -- is alive among us again," said Fudge.'

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince takes up the story of Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at this point in the midst of the storm of this battle of good and evil.

The author has already said that the Half-Blood Prince is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And most importantly, the opening chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been brewing in J. K. Rowling's mind for 13 years.

What Customers Say About Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Deluxe Edition):

The book came really fast and exactly as described. The price was great too. I would buy from this seller again.

Assuming you're one of the few who haven't read the book yet.The book centers around Harry Potter of course, using his Invisibility Cloak and the Marauder's Map to track Malfoy, who's been up to something. Why is that. Who was the Half-Blood Prince. Fun teenage hijinx without the maudlin text of a Twilight Meyers novel.

Yet Dumbledore trusts him explicitly. In the summer of 2005, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released. Being a sixth year student, he learns how to Apparate (appear in other places) and gets to be the captain of the Quidditch team. We meet zombies floating in a lake, ditzy Trelawney, werewolves and a new Ministry of Magic minister who wants Harry to be their poster child. It's a darker novel, murder and blood, much more so than in the last novel. There was much controversy when this book was published.

He also falls in love but refrains from "snogging" as his 'best mate" Ron is doing. This book sold more than any other Harry Potter book up to 2005 at nine million copies in 24 hours. Why is Severus Snape hanging out with Death Eaters in Chapter 1. We again visit the Pensieve memory vat, explore He Who Must Not Be Named's childhood as Tom Riddle, who his parents were and what a Horcrux is. As I recall, the author wanted the text to be secret (understandably) yet there were reviews, as from the New York Times and other publications that ruined it for many readers.

Well, I won't do that to you. Dumbledore tells Harry the main power he has that Voldemort does not have is his capacity to love, though Harry considers this just outright silly. See the Wiki article for the plot, but be warned, it contains immense Spoilers.Until Moaning Myrtle leaves the girls' room, Make Mine Hogwarts.

It looks brand new and looks as if it has only been read once. I am an avid lover of the Harry Potter franchise. That said, this review should be taken as product quality. The book was bought used and with the exception of crease lines on the spine, is flawless. I received the product by the estimated delivery date. I had no problems and fully recommend using this outlet.

The fact that you don't know what could possibly happen next helps the book be even more exciting. K. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the 6th novel of the Harry Potter series by J. I remember when reading this book, I could barely put it down due to all of the action and excitement. Rowling, and probably the best of the series that I've read so far. This is my favorite of the series, because it has many exciting moments that always seem to make you stand out on-end with excitement. Just the fact alone of mysterious memories and the betrayal of Hogwarts teachers seems to contain so much excitement, it may just even spoil the whole book for some people. I definitely suggest that you read this book as soon as you finish all of he other books before it.

Now, THIS is my favorite in the series.I began reading these books with my wife last November, somewhere halfway though the Goblet of Fire we stopped reading to each other so that we could read them at our own pace, that was a few weeks ago and I have since zoomed through to this one. This is the book that I felt The Order of the Phoenix should have been, where darkness really does begin to fall upon the wizarding world created by Rowling. There is a very predictable twist toward the end that we all saw coming since book one, but I was not able to guess who the Half-Blood Prince was and was surprised and excited when it was revealed. There isn't much in the way of new characters and obviously the story focus' mainly on Harry, Hermione and Ron, though since the direction that The Order of the Phoenix took us I had hope to read much more of Neville and Luna.I don't see how this book can be disliked by Harry Potter fans, as it is just as exciting, if not more so, and a more informative glimpse into the Harry Potter saga. This book has now become my favorite in the series, and I'd be surprised if fans of HP don't feel similarly.
